1426 LYTLE ST applied for asbestos abatement permit to convert boiler

1416 Lytle Development LLC has an asbestos-abatement permit to remove about 450 sq ft of friable asbestos-containing material from the top of the boiler at the old Portland warehouse at 1426 Lytle St, a five-story, 145,125 sq ft building built in 1890 that’s being prepped for conversion into offices and apartments. Complete Demolition Services is the abatement contractor, the work is scheduled for June 12–21, 2026 with daily disposal to WM Outer Loop Landfill (about 200 cu. yds.), and the permit is still in progress with $1,112.87 in outstanding fees.
