223 N 19TH ST Environmental asbestos permit issued for emergency demolition

Louisville Metro has issued an emergency asbestos permit for demolition at 223 N 19th St, a vacant 1,300-square-foot former residence owned by Williams Charles Raymond, with work scheduled June 23–July 23, 2026. The permit allows Aesthetic Industrial Contracting, Inc. to leave regulated asbestos-containing material (RACM) in place during the emergency demolition but requires crews to minimize disturbance, keep materials wet, containerize and promptly haul roughly seven cubic yards daily to WM Outer Loop Landfill—demolition debris must be treated as RACM and no track vehicles are allowed on the debris, so crews will be taking extra precautions.
