225 N 19th St Environmental Permit issued for emergency demolition

Louisville & Jefferson County Landbank is moving forward with an emergency-order demolition at 225 N 19th St, scheduled from June 23 to July 23, 2026. The asbestos permit says RACM (regulated asbestos-containing material) can stay in place during the demo, so contractor Aesthetic Industrial Contracting, Inc. must minimize disturbance — keep materials wet, containerize and promptly dispose of debris, and avoid driving tracked vehicles over the rubble. The work is for a vacant, one-story former residence (about 1,050 sq ft) with daily disposal planned (roughly 6 cubic yards) to WM Outer Loop Landfill.
