1137 W Jefferson St applied for asbestos abatement permit
The City of Louisville Firehouse (Louisville Fire Department Engine 2) has an asbestos abatement permit for work at 1137 W Jefferson St as part of a renovation. National Environmental Contracting, Inc. will remove PACM floor tile and mastic (about 600 sq ft) from the first-floor office and take down roughly 100 ft of pipe insulation using glove bags; the job is scheduled for May 4–June 18, 2026, with waste headed to WM Outer Loop Landfill.
