1400 W Broadway asbestos abatement permit for Von Payne Distillery renovation

Abatement Solutions Technologies, Inc. is handling asbestos abatement at 1400 W Broadway for owner Von Payne Spirits as the vacant 1908 building is being renovated into Von Payne Distillery. The project, scheduled 10/30/2025–11/26/2025, involves regulating the work area and removing about 12 feet of transite (cement arc shields) from the former transformer room, with trained supervisor Robert Choate on site. Waste will be sent to WM – Outer Loop Landfill (about 0.25 cubic yards), so this looks like the safety-first prep before the distillery opens its doors in the 65,000 sq ft space.
