Cardinal Services Inc has submitted a wrecking permit to demolish the existing structure at 431 E Liberty St on behalf of owner Louisville Metro Housing Authority. The work targets a one-story commercial building of about 31,446 square feet (built roughly 123 years ago) with a project value estimated at $10,000. The application is still gathering required items — think utility sign-offs from AT&T and LG&E, a notarized demolition notification, site photos and an erosion-control form — so demolition won’t move forward until those are cleared.
