National Environmental Contracting, Inc. has applied for an asbestos abatement permit to remove presumed asbestos-containing window glazing at Appliance Park — 4000 Buechel Bank Rd (AP2 Column A35), a property owned by Haier US Appliance Solutions Inc.; about 15 square feet of glazing will be removed intact to make way for a new door opening to be installed by others. The work is scheduled for July 23–August 6, 2026, and NEC says the area will be isolated, cleaned with HEPA vacuums and wet mopping, and disposed of at WM - Outer Loop Landfill, so it sounds like a small, contained abatement rather than a full renovation.
