Abatement & Environmental Services, LLC is contracted to remove asbestos-containing materials at the University of Louisville’s Bingham Humanities Building at 2216 S First Street Walk. Scheduled Jan. 12–Aug. 3, 2026, the work will remove wall and mirror mastics in classrooms and bathrooms and abate pipe wrap, white construction mastic, and a gasket in the basement mechanical rooms using wet methods and a glovebag for the Air Handler No. 2 gasket, with all ACM double-bagged and taken to a double-lined dumpster (about 60 cubic yards expected).
