Rudolph Hardin, LLC has filed an asbestos abatement permit for renovation work at 214 W Barbee Street Walk in the University of Louisville’s Life Science Building 18. The project, scheduled from 11/25/2025 to 03/31/2026, will update HVAC systems, ceilings, lighting, and electrical work and involves targeted asbestos removal using glovebags for pipe insulation, containment for duct insulation, and wet methods for floor tile, mastic, and ceiling glue dots. Disposal is planned at project end (about 30 cubic yards), and a team of certified supervisors will be on site with a plan to stop work and report if any unexpected asbestos-containing materials are discovered.
