100 W Broadway encroachment permit for groundwater monitoring well

Shield Environmental Associates, Inc. is installing a 2-inch PVC groundwater monitoring well about 20 feet deep in the alleyway between 100 W Broadway and 722 S 1st Street (between S 1st and S 2nd) to investigate a gasoline release from an underground storage tank. Part of the alley will be blocked during the work—which will be finished flush to the ground with a manhole lid and concrete pad—done under direction of the Kentucky UST Branch; the property is owned by 100 Broadway LLC and project manager Christina Clasen is handling the job for Shield Environmental.
