1622 S 13TH ST Asbestos abatement permit issued for Parkway Place Gym
National Environmental Contracting, Inc. will remove presumed asbestos-containing floor tile and mastic in the Parkway Place gym at 1622 S 13th St. The abatement, for owner Louisville Metro Housing Authority and scheduled for late July to mid‑August 2026, uses wet methods, hand scrapers, critical barriers, HEPA vacuums and PPE so no other materials are disturbed and new flooring can be installed. About 96 square feet of material will be hauled to WM - Outer Loop Landfill with certified supervisors on site to keep the job safe and tidy.
