700 Central Ave asbestos abatement permit issued
An asbestos abatement permit has been issued for Churchill Downs Homestretch Club to remove about 1,800 sq ft of floor tile and mastic in the walkway and tote room at 700 Central Ave. Owner Louisville/Jefferson County Metro Government hired Sunesis Environmental LLC for wet-method removal scheduled from July 13 to December 25, 2026, with roughly 42 cubic yards of waste headed to Valley View Landfill and Republic Services listed as the hauler.
