1601 Roosevelt Ave issued Bowen Elementary asbestos abatement permit
Jefferson County Public Schools (owner: Jefferson County School District Fin) has an asbestos abatement permit to remove roughly 740 square feet of floor tile and adhesive mastic from Classroom 131 at Bowen Elementary, 1601 Roosevelt Ave, with work scheduled from 6/29/2026 to 7/31/2026. Abatement contractor RH Environmental will perform non‑friable removal using hand tools or an electric floor scraper and wet methods, clean the area with HEPA vacuums and wet mopping, and bag and send the waste to WM – Outer Loop Landfill for regulated disposal.
