200 E Chestnut St Abatement permit for ACM waterproofing at Norton MRI Plaza
Abatement & Environmental Services, LLC has been contracted by Norton Children's Hospitals Inc. to abate asbestos-containing mastic waterproofing beneath the sidewalk paving bricks outside Norton Hospital MRI Plaza at 200 E Chestnut St. The work is scheduled for June 25–July 24, 2026, will cover about 4,500 sq ft using a ride-on floor scraper, wet methods, and mastic remover, after which Schnell Contractors will reinstall waterproofing and replace the concrete and bricks; the area will be cordoned off and roughly 60 cubic yards of waste will be hauled to an approved disposal facility.
