10200 Dixie Hwy Valley High School asbestos abatement permit
Jefferson County Public Schools is planning an asbestos abatement at Valley High School, 10200 Dixie Hwy, to remove transite countertops from cabinets and floor tile plus the adhesive mastic beneath them. The work targets Classrooms 303 and 305 and calls for removal of about 124 sq ft of transite and 120 sq ft of flooring/mastic using wet methods, hand tools or non-friable scraping, with HEPA vacuuming and wet cleaning afterward. RH Environmental will handle the abatement (with trained supervisors on site), waste will be double-wrapped or bagged and placed in a lined dumpster for disposal at WM - Outer Loop Landfill, and the project is scheduled for June 19–July 31, 2026.
