10200 Dixie Hwy Environmental permit for asbestos abatement at Valley High
Jefferson County Public Schools has filed for an asbestos abatement at Valley High School to remove asbestos-containing floor tile and adhesive mastic from the PO Delivery/Office Area. The work at 10200 Dixie Hwy, owned by Jefferson County School District, is scheduled for April 8–12, 2026; RH Environmental will remove about 368 sq ft using wet, non-friable methods with HEPA cleaning and disposal to WM Outer Loop Landfill. Trained supervisors will be on site and a contingency plan is in place to secure the area and notify officials if additional asbestos is found.
