649 S 1ST ST Hartford Hall applied for asbestos abatement permit

The Commonwealth of KY FBO KCTCS has filed an asbestos abatement permit for Hartford Hall at 649 South 1st Street to remove floor tile, mastic and 12 Transite fume hoods. Contractor Complete Demolition Services will perform wet-method removal across all 12 floors — roughly 38,000 sq ft of flooring/mastic and 400 sq ft of transite on the top floor — with work scheduled May 4–Aug 4, 2026, daily disposal to WM Outer Loop Landfill, and outstanding fees listed at $5,391.36.
