209 S 5th St environmental permit for asbestos abatement during renovation

Colt Club II LLC has filed an asbestos abatement permit for Colt Club Lofts II at 209 S 5th St to remove asbestos-containing materials tied to an HVAC and boiler-system replacement and other renovation work. Cardinal Industrial Insulation Company Inc. will remove glue dots (about 1,900 sq ft) from 3rd-floor ceiling tiles, roughly 500 sq ft of mastics from the 4th-floor flooring, plus small amounts of gaskets and duct insulation in the basement using containment and wet methods from 04/27/2026–08/27/2026; waste will be hauled by Gotta Go to WM Outer Loop Landfill with about 1 cubic yard listed for disposal, so expect crews and containment measures on site.
