National Environmental Contracting, Inc. will remove presumed asbestos-containing pipe insulation at 500 S Preston St — UofL 55B, the Health Sciences Building — on behalf of the Commonwealth of Kentucky (FBO University). The abatement is scheduled April 20–May 4, 2026, and will use glove-bag removal, HEPA vacuums, wet mopping, and PPE; only pipe insulation will be disturbed so others can come in to install new insulation.
