511 S FLOYD ST applied for asbestos abatement permit for lab renovation

Abatement Solutions Technologies, Inc. has an asbestos abatement permit for renovation of a laboratory classroom at 511 S Floyd St (Medical Dental Research), which is owned by the Commonwealth of Kentucky FBO University. The work, scheduled for 03/18/2026–03/31/2026, will install critical barriers and use wet methods and hand tools to remove about 400 sq ft of flooring and mastic and a transite fume hood in Room 123, with daily disposal estimated at about 10 cubic yards. Trained supervisors Robert Choate, Gerlin Hechavarria, and Doug Amshoff are listed as on-site supervisors for the project.
