617 W JEFFERSON ST Environmental Permit: PACM abatement for roofing repair

Louisville Metro Revenue Commission has filed an asbestos abatement permit to remove presumed asbestos-containing material (PACM) so roof repairs can proceed at 617 W Jefferson St. The work—for owner City Of Louisville Public Properties—is scheduled February 18–March 18, 2026, with Cardinal Industrial Insulation Company doing the abatement, waste headed to WM Outer Loop Landfill and Republic Services hauling; because the building (built 1891) has individual landmark status, UD written approval is required before work moves forward.
