234 E Gray St Environmental Abatement Permit for elevator shaft asbestos
National Environmental Contracting, Inc. will remove presumed asbestos-containing spray-on fireproofing from the elevator shaft and penthouse at 234 E Gray St for owner Norton Properties Inc., so crews can install new fireproofing. The work is scheduled 01/19/2026–02/28/2026 and will use full containment with negative-pressure machines, HEPA vacuums, wet mopping and PPE; about 250 sq ft of friable fireproofing is listed for removal with waste headed to WM – Outer Loop Landfill.
