Abatement Solutions Technologies, Inc. has applied for an asbestos abatement permit to support a renovation at Clifton Baptist Church, 1947 Frankfort Ave, as the building is being converted to include office space and meeting rooms. Work is scheduled for Jan. 5–26, 2026; crews plan to remove about 70 feet of thermal system insulation from the first-floor ceiling plenum using glovebags, with trained supervisors Robert Choate and Gerlin Hechavarria on site and waste headed to WM – Outer Loop Landfill.
