625 S 4th St applied for asbestos abatement permit
Abatement Solutions Technologies, Inc. will handle asbestos abatement at the historic Louisville Palace, 625 S 4th St, as part of a mechanical system upgrade. The work, scheduled 11/18/2025–12/12/2025, targets about 150 feet of thermal system insulation in crawlspaces and an airshaft using glove-bag and wrap-and-cut methods; roughly 30 cubic yards of waste will be double-sealed and taken to Waste Management’s Outer Loop Landfill. Owner MDM Development LLC is listed on the project, and certified supervisors Rodney Woods and Robert Choate will be onsite with a plan to secure the area and notify the Air Pollution Control District if any additional asbestos is discovered.
