3901 S 3RD ST Encroachment permit issued for LGE pole work and curb lane closure

Louisville Gas & Electric Company will be working on S 3rd St between Southern Pkwy and W Florence Ave, including a northbound curb lane closure at 3901 S 3rd St, so expect some temporary traffic changes. They plan to replace 25 utility poles from Feb. 25, 2026 to Apr. 5, 2026, with the area restored under the LMPW restoration policy and line transfers/pole removals coordinated through the National Joint Utilities Notification System (NJUNS).
