4000 KRESGE WAY Environmental Permit for Asbestos Insulation Removal
National Environmental Contracting, Inc. will remove asbestos-containing thermal insulation from the high-pressure steam drums in the basement mechanical room at Baptist Health Louisville, 4000 Kresge Way, for owner Baptist Healthcare System Inc. The abatement is scheduled June 24–July 31, 2026, and covers about 700 sq ft of friable insulation; work will use full containment with negative-pressure machines, HEPA vacuuming, wet mopping, and proper PPE, with roughly 4 cubic yards of waste headed to WM – Outer Loop Landfill. It’s a targeted removal to allow the steam drums to be replaced, and the record notes no other materials will be disturbed.
