9803 Blue Lick Rd environmental permit for tile/mastic removal at Knight MS
Jefferson County Public Schools has applied for an asbestos abatement permit at Knight Middle School, 9803 Blue Lick Rd, to remove floor tile and the associated adhesive mastic from Classrooms 117 and 118 and the top landing and steps near the Office and CR 104; the owner is the Jefferson County School District. RH Environmental will perform non‑friable removal using hand tools or electric scrapers with wet methods, HEPA vacuuming, and sealed disposal at WM – Outer Loop Landfill; the work is scheduled for June 1–July 31, 2026 and covers about 3,240 sq ft of flooring.
