Micro-Analytics, Inc. has filed an asbestos abatement permit to clear a vacant single-family residence at 5000 Southside Dr owned by the Louisville & Jefferson County Landbank, with abatement followed by demolition scheduled for May 11–29, 2026. The crew plans wet-method removal of floor tile and sheeting (about 8 sq ft) and transite exterior wall panels (about 800 sq ft) from the 1925, 960‑sq‑ft, one-story house, with roughly 10 cubic yards of material to be hauled to WM Outer Loop Landfill.
