982 EASTERN PKY applied for asbestos abatement permit
Micro-Analytics, Inc. is handling an asbestos abatement for a full interior gut and repurpose of the Center for Orthotic & Prosthetic Care at 982 Eastern Pkwy, which is owned by Kosair Charities Committee Inc. The one-story, 5,000 sq ft building (built in 1900) is slated for work from 11/03/2025 to 12/31/2025 and crews will remove roughly 4,338 sq ft of transite panels and 4,834 sq ft of flooring and mastic using wet methods. Quantum Enterprises will haul the material to WM – Outer Loop Landfill, and the plan is to stop work and notify the owner and the air pollution control division if any unexpected asbestos is found.
