527 W Jefferson St filed ROW license agreement for street pianos

Louisville Downtown Partnership is moving forward with its Downtown Tunes public‑piano program under a right‑of‑way license to place one of three city‑property pianos near the Metro CitySpot at 527 W Jefferson St as part of eight pop‑up pianos installed April 23–24 for a temporary run from April through October 2026. LDP and its Ambassador staff will handle day‑to‑day care, put locked covers on the pianos at night and in storms, and tune them at least twice during the six months to keep impromptu concerts sounding sweet. The property is owned by Jefferson County, and the application notes an individual landmark approval is required for work in the area.
