2531 Garland Ave electrical permit issued for panel replacement and garage power

Don Sanders is getting an electrical overhaul at 2531 Garland Ave with a residential permit estimated at $8,100. The project removes a known-hazard Federal Pacific panel and installs a new code-compliant main breaker panel with properly sized AFCI and GFCI breakers, whole-home surge protection, and upgraded grounding and bonding. It also replaces a kitchen GFCI and runs a new dedicated 60-amp circuit — plus a 60-amp subpanel — out to the detached garage to give space for future circuits.
