1440 S 4TH ST building permit submitted for residential alteration

A house fire that jumped from the neighbor’s roof ignited the attic at 1440 South 4th Street, leaving the three-story, five-unit building about 85% gutted from water and smoke damage. Owner Laviolette Properties LLC has Hunter & Associates Const Co handling a residential alteration to reframe the roof with stick framing and replace attic insulation, new 5/8" drywall, flooring and paint across all units, with the project estimated at $585,000.
