E Chestnut Street near Norton Hospital: temporary lane closure for MRI removal

H&H Design-Build, working on behalf of Norton Healthcare (property owner Jeffrey Nickell), will close lanes and the south sidewalk on E Chestnut Street between S Brook Street and S Floyd in front of Norton Hospital to lift out the hospital’s existing MRI scanner with a crane and load it onto a truck — so expect a big piece of equipment and some careful rerouting. The work is set for Saturday, July 11, 2026, from 7:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.; both travel lanes and the drop-off/parking lane will be blocked, the parking lane on the Jewish and Frazier Rehab side will be converted to a drive lane, parking will be prohibited during those hours, and pedestrians will be detoured to the north sidewalk.
