AT&T is doing an aerial cable placement on S Hancock St between E Market St to the north, S Clay St to the east, E Jefferson St to the south, and I‑65 to the west, using an access pole for splice work. The work (scheduled Jan 16–Feb 16, 2026) may affect the driving lane and sidewalk and could require very short road closures of up to five minutes, so expect a quick pause in traffic rather than long detours; no restoration is expected.
