Kelli Starnes with Louisville Water Company has an encroachment permit to excavate and cut the asphalt from 728 Lampton St toward 801 S Clay St. The plan calls for one long 520' x 5' street cut and a road closure for excavation, scheduled July 23–August 29, 2026; the site is owned by Bates Memorial Missionary Baptist Church and $590 in fees are currently outstanding. Expect noticeable construction activity and temporary closures along Lampton during that period.
