518 W Main St sidewalk closure; extended to 06/22/2026

Schnell Contractors, Inc. is extending a sidewalk closure at 518 West Main Street to make emergency repairs to two failing 2' x 30' brick pilasters on the Preservation On Main Inc. property. They'll erect a 30-foot tubular scaffold with leveling boards (one worker on the scaffold) and stabilize/rebuild the pilasters with helical brick ties, steel bracing and new brick, with work now scheduled through June 22, 2026 — and if the sidewalk is damaged, a full slab will be replaced to keep pedestrians safe.
