433 S 5th Street encroachment permit issued for street and sidewalk closures

BJB Restoration (BJB Architectural Metals Services Inc.) will perform a clock tower masonry inspection at 433 S 5th St for the Roman Catholic Bishop of Louisville. To reach the tower they'll close S. 5th St between W. Muhammad Ali Blvd. and W. Liberty St. on June 20, 2026, parking a crane in the roadway and booming over the east sidewalk (the east sidewalk and road will be blocked); there’s no digging planned, BJB will be responsible for any sidewalk damage, and the property’s individual landmark status requires UD written approval.
