518 W Main St applied for sidewalk closure encroachment permit

Schnell Contractors, Inc. will close the sidewalk in front of 518 West Main Street to erect a tubular scaffold (built to OSHA standards up to 30 feet) so one worker can stabilize and reconstruct two 2' x 30' brick pilasters that have been falling out. The emergency work for owner Preservation On Main Inc. is scheduled to begin June 8 and finish by June 16, and crews say if any sidewalk is damaged a full slab will be replaced to keep pedestrians safe.
