1115 W Chestnut Street encroachment permit for 11th Street reconstruction

Louisville Metro Government (applicant Steve Kurowsky) is moving ahead with an 11th Street re-construction project affecting the block by 1115 W Chestnut St on property owned by Jefferson County School District Fin. The rehab between Muhammad Ali Blvd. and Chestnut Street will mill and rebuild 11th Street, remove the concrete crosswalk for an asphalt-to-asphalt transition, add ADA ramps at each end but no new west-side sidewalks or curbs, and is scheduled June 1–Aug 1, 2026 with sidewalk and road closures expected.
