621 S JACKSON ST issued encroachment permit for LGE work, lane/sidewalk closure

Louisville Gas & Electric Company (applicant Derek Wilkins) will be doing utility work at 621 S Jackson St, a property owned by the American National Red Cross. LGE will close the westernmost northbound curb lane and the westernmost sidewalk between East Chestnut Street and East Gray Street to install two poles, bag a parking meter, and perform excavation from May 29 to August 28, 2026, with the area to be restored under LMPW’s restoration policy. Line transfers and any pole removals will be coordinated through the national joint utilities notification system (NJUNS), and the permit currently shows about $1,890 in outstanding fees.
