S 4th Street encroachment permit issued for Downtown Tunes temporary art program

Louisville Downtown Partnership has been issued an encroachment permit to place interactive musical instruments along S 4th St as a temporary art program. The downtown pop-up runs May 22 to July 18, 2026, will sit on the asphalt with no street cut required, and is billed as a mobile arts activation inviting pedestrians to stop, listen, and play.
