637 Baxter Ave encroachment permit issued for lane and sidewalk closures

Louisville Gas & Electric Company (applicant Derek Wilkins) will be doing utility work at 637 Baxter Ave for the property owned by Toombs Alvin W Tr, with crews working on Baxter Avenue between Rogers Street and East Broadway from May 27 to June 24, 2026. The project includes closing the westbound curb lane and the northernmost sidewalk for an excavation and one pole replacement; cuts will be restored under the LMPW restoration policy and line transfers/pole removals will be coordinated through the National Joint Utilities Notification System.
