709 S 4TH ST: Sidewalk and driving lane closure for Heyburn Building

Schnell Contractors, Inc. will be doing exterior masonry and waterproofing on the Heyburn Building and needs temporary sidewalk and lane closures at 709 South 4th Street, which is owned by IBC Property Holdings LLC. The work is scheduled May 13–July 15, 2026, roughly 7 AM–4 PM, and will use barricades, cones, signage, pedestrian detours and an approximately 80‑foot aerial lift in the right‑of‑way; no excavation is planned, emergency vehicle access and reasonable pedestrian access to nearby businesses will be maintained. Expect some short-term detours and cones as they restore the facade—Schnell says any damaged sidewalks or curbs will be repaired to equal or better condition.
