119 W Main Street encroachment permit for Lumen fiber optic installation

Lumen is bringing new fiber service to 119 W Main St, with OCM Engineering (applicant) coordinating the job and Hutchins Telecom as the contractor. Per a KYTC-approved permit, crews will do a longitudinal open cut at the intersection of E Main and N First to install about 50 feet of three 1.25-inch HDPE conduits and fiber at a minimum 42-inch depth. Work is scheduled May 18–29, 2026, and all pavement will be restored per Metro utility policy—milled, paved and sealed curb-to-curb with road markings returned; the property is owned by Louisville Jefferson County Metro Government.
