640 S 1ST ST encroachment permit for lane closure and irrigation service

Louisville Water, via applicant Brad Walter McBride, will be installing one irrigation service at 640 S 1st St on S 1st between Gray St and W. Chestnut St for the Commonwealth of KY FBO KCTCS. Crews will close the southbound lane on the east side and work one lane at a time with traffic control and flaggers, cutting a 30x3 trench in the asphalt and a 5x5 sidewalk cut; the road will be plated and opened at the end of each shift and restored per Louisville Metro Public Works utility policy, with work scheduled from 05/18/2026 to 06/19/2026 (project manager Clay Robinson).
