752 S Hancock St Encroachment Permit issued for lane and sidewalk closures

Brad Walter McBride of Louisville Water is getting an encroachment permit to install a water service at 752 S Hancock St, a property owned by the Louisville Metro Housing Authority. The work between E. Jacob St and Roselane St will close the northbound curb and driving lane on the west side (one lane at a time with traffic control and flaggers), close the west sidewalk, and includes one 20x1 street cut plus a 5x5 sidewalk cut; crews will plate the road and reopen it to traffic at the end of each shift. Work is scheduled from 05/15/2026 to 06/05/2026 and restoration will follow Metro Public Works utility policy, with all markings removed when the job is complete.
