438 University Ave: Encroachment permit issued for CSX railroad work and detours
CSX is planning emergency railroad-crossing repairs at 438 University Ave on property owned by David W. and Barbara E. Shearn. Coordinated by Safety Services & Supply (applicant Andrea D. Janka) and CSXT Transportation, crews will cut pavement, tear out and replace blacktop to fix a rail defect and then repave the crossing — all within the railroad right-of-way, with Metro Road closed and detours provided during the June 15–27, 2026 work window.
