290 E Bloom St encroachment permit submitted for CSX railroad work

CSX, working with Safety Services & Supply (applicant Andrea D. Janka), will be doing year‑end emergency railroad crossing repairs at 290 E Bloom St., on Mary Street between Swan and Logan. The Commonwealth of Kentucky owns the property and crews plan to close Metro Road with detours from June 15–27, 2026 to cut pavement, tear out blacktop, replace rail, and repave the crossing — all work inside the railroad right‑of‑way and following CSX restoration guidelines. Expect a full road closure rather than a quick lane shift while this gets finished.
