631 S 5TH ST issued encroachment permit for curb lane and sidewalk closures
Louisville Gas & Electric Company is planning electrical work along S 5th Street between West Broadway and West Chestnut that will affect 631 S 5th St, a property owned by Brennan House Inc. The job would close the northbound curb lane and the easternmost sidewalk, bag two meters, and require a 12' x 20' sidewalk cut to access a vault (cuts to be restored under LMPW restoration policy); the work is scheduled May 4–Aug 7, 2026 as a continuation of a previous permit and has not yet started.
