1700 Prentice St Encroachment Permit Issued for Road Closure

Louisville Water Company is doing a lead service-line replacement at 1700 Prentice St and has an encroachment permit for a temporary road closure between Dixie Highway and South 17th Street from May 10–May 30, 2026; the road will be plated and returned to traffic at the end of each work shift. The work includes one small pavement cut (about 4' x 5') for excavation, with restoration to follow per LMPW utility policy and all utility markings removed afterward; resident notification letters were sent on April 28, 2026 and city agencies were emailed. Project manager Joseph Sloan (applicant Kelli Starnes) and Basham Construction are running the job, and the property owner is listed as Bailey Jackie.
